Workspace Overview
Version: 1.1 | Last updated: 2026-08-28
The workspace overview is the landing page of your Bluebox workspace. It shows a grid of tiles — each tile summarizing a different aspect of your workspace at a glance.
What the overview shows
Tiles are selected and arranged automatically based on what is active in your workspace. A workspace with no investigations shows fewer tiles than one with ongoing incidents; a workspace with no routines does not show routine tiles.
Each tile focuses on one area:
- Active findings — problems currently detected by your observability backend.
- Investigations — counts and status of your recent investigations.
- Routines — health of your scheduled agent runs and the next scheduled execution.
- Setup prompts — guided actions to connect GitHub, install the Bluebox CLI, or instrument your services. Each prompt disappears automatically once the corresponding step is complete.
New since your last visit
Tiles that count investigations or findings show how many items are new since the last time you opened the overview. This counter follows your account across devices — it is not stored in your browser.
The counter advances after you have been away for at least three hours. Returning briefly and leaving does not reset the anchor; only a gap of three hours or more counts as a new visit. This prevents the counter from reaching zero immediately if you reload the page mid-investigation.
Time range
Each tile shows data for its own time range, displayed in the tile header. The time range is chosen automatically based on the amount of activity in your workspace. A quiet workspace with few events may show a wider range (up to 30 days); a busy workspace may show a narrower range (as short as one hour) so the tile stays readable.
Availability
The workspace overview is available to all workspace members.
